---Assume?responsibility?of?the?life?of?the?automation?project?with?regards?to?cost,?schedule,?quality,?technical?spec,?risk,?communication?and?final?customer?satisfaction,?from?receipt?of?purchase?order?through?final?installation?and?acceptance?at?the?customer’s?site.?
SPECIFIC?RESPONSIBILITIES:
---Supervises?and?oversees?the?Design?Team?to?complete?projects?efficiently?according?to?established?schedules?&?budgets?and?consistent?with?specified?quality?standard.
---Co-ordinates?accurate?documentation?for?each?project?through?staff?supervision.
---Works?with?team?members?of?all?departments?to?continuously?improve?methods?of?integrating?controls?technology,?with?the?goals?being?enhanced?safely,?enhanced?functionality,?and?reduced?cost.
---Focuses?on?managing?risks?of?all?projects.
---Assist?Applications?engineering?with?preparing?quotations?and?customer?pre-order?visits?when?required.
---Ensures?that?adequate?resources?are?assigned?to?all?project?tasks.?Elevate?deficiencies?to?department?managers.
---Advocates?and?fosters?a?team?environment?within?both?the?department?and?throughout?the?division.
---Accountable?for?all?aspects?of?the?project?including;?delivery,?performance?to?schedule,?performance?to?budget,?cash?flow.
---Responsible?for?maintaining?Customer?Satisfaction.
---Follow?in-house?guidelines?and?standards?to?direct?the?daily?project?activities?and?co-ordinate?the?work?of?the?members?of?the?project?team,?through?managers?to?ensure?that?goals?and?objectives?are?accomplished?in?accordance?with?established?priorities.?Organize?the?project?status?review?meeting.
---Track?all?contract?changes?with?a?written?Change?Order?Request?and?maintain?a?revision?summary.?Create?and?maintain?a?project?cost?forecast,?comparison?of?budget?to?actuals?for?the?life?of?the?project.?Conduct?regular?project?review?meetings?with?both?in-house?personnel?and?with?the?customer?and?record?and?distribute?the?minutes?for?these?meetings?in?the?prescribed?form.
---Co-ordinate?the?concurrent?development?of?design?and?build?activities.
-Acts?as?primary?customer?contact?for?design,?costing?and?machine?related?issues.
---Manage?the?schedule?of?all?project?phases?and?milestones,?update?schedules?and?initiate?corrective?action?through?the?department?managers.Conduct?Initial?Project?Build?Plan?meeting?to?confirm?budgets?and?schedules?for?the?life?of?the?project.
---Monitor?progress?of?the?project?during?design,?build?and?installation?by?reviewing?the?performance?of?the?team?members?against?the?project?schedule.?Resolve?conflicts?through?the?department?managers?and?supervisors.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Key?Requirements:
---College?or?university?degree,?major?in?engineering?or?equivalent,?specializing?in?mechanical,?electrical?or?controls?engineering.?Completion?of?or?in?the?process?of?achieving?the?Project?Management?Professional?(PMP)?designation?is?required.
---Minimum?of?3?years’?experience?working?with?multi-disciplined?project?teams,?preferably?in?an?automation?or?systems?integration?environment.?Have?a?practical?working?knowledge?of?robots,?PLC’s,?instrumentation?or?other?machine?controls?packages,?sensors?and?pneumatics.?Preference?will?be?given?to?those?who?possess?an?excellent?manufacturing?or?process?engineering?background,?a?superior?mechanical?aptitude?and?proven?trouble-shooting?skills.?An?ability?to?work?effectively?with?customers?according?to?deadlines?and?under?pressure-filled?conditions?is?essential.?In?addition,?must?be?familiar?with?the?use?of?computerized?word?processing?&?computerized?spreadsheets?and?AutoCAD?or?similar?drawing?package.?
